Ross Park - Trainer Profile

Ross is the other half of the brains (and the brawn) behind FLY Functional Fitness. Read about his story below. 

My journey into the fitness industry started 15 years ago. Sport and training had played a big part in my life up until then, so it seemed like a natural progression. During the first 5 years I worked in 3 very different facilities, which gave me the chance to build invaluable experience and also gave me a clear idea of the direction I wanted to go in. My passion always lay with functional fitness - using the body the way it is designed to be used. Training that makes sense! I then started my own personal training business and continued doing various industry qualifications ranging from the Australian Institute of Fitness to Crossfit level 1. After personal training for 10 years, I decided to pursue my dream of opening a facility that bridged the gap between the 'globo' gyms and my preferred style of training. I had seen firsthand that Crossfit wasn't for everyone, but also that people wanted to train with barbells, kettlebells etc and make a real difference in their fitness. And so FLY was born!
